This article will be on how to archive and restore projects on Mac. Are you tired of filtering through millions of projects in your main project bar? Perhaps, you have finished a bunch of projects but can’t figure out how to store them out of sight. Let me show you a few simple steps on how to archive projects on Mac.
ARCHIVE AND RESTORE PROJECTS
There are 2 ways to achieve this on Mac:
FIRST OPTION: ARCHIVE BY ” ARCHIVED” TAG
1.) To archive/store a project by the “Archived” tag, first, select the project you wish to archive. After, head over to the tag bar under “Project Details”.
2.) Type the word “archived” in the tag bar. After you do this, you will see a GRAY check mark in the box of your project you are storing to the left.
3.) If your project does not automatically disappear, you can go to your avatar account drop down menu in the top right corner, select “Sign in/Sync Now”, and force a sync now. After this, your project should be “Archived” or stored.
SECOND OPTION: ARCHIVE BY RIGHT HAND CLICK
1.) First, to archive and restore projects on Mac, choose the project you wish to archive/store. Following, right hand click and choose the option to “Archive Project”.
2.) A pop up window will show. You can either choose “Yes” for a single use option, or, “Yes, Always” to automatically archive your projects without continually answering this window.
That’s it! You are now able to store/archive your projects for a more filtered view!!!
RECOVER ARCHIVED PROJECTS
So, what if you freak out and need to recover certain projects you have previously stored, but you have no idea how to recover them. Don’t worry. No hair pulling involved today =)
1.) Visit the “Filter Projects by Tag” bar above your main projects list. Type in the word “Archived”.
2.) BOOM!!! You will now see your archived projects only. Phew! The world hasn’t ended. Simply, choose the option to “Unarchive Project”…and *poof*, the project will return to your main project list.
I hope this has helped you learn how to archive and restore projects on Mac!
