Note that this article refers to the backup options in the “classic” version of Priority Matrix. In the latest version of the apps, this backup mechanism is not necessary because all your data is constantly synced against our database. Still, it is possible to export your PM projects as a CSV file as a backup, or in order to work with it using your own apps.

There are two different ways to save a Priority Matrix file at a specific time.   The following steps will address these two various ways of saving a Priority Matrix file 🙂

Export as PMatrix file:

  1. Go to the file tab at the top of the screen
  2. Select “Export Project to PMatrix”
  3. This will export the project to your desktop where you can access it anytime or restore back to your Priority Matrix,Save a Priority Matrix file
