Can I Restore Deleted Projects in Priority Matrix?

Hello dear Priority Matrix user!  You are most likely reading this article because you have deleted a project by accident while using Priority Matrix.  Which leads you to the question, can I restore deleted projects on Priority Matrix? Fortunately, most of the time the answer is yes: you can restore deleted projects as long as those projects had been previously synced to our server.

Note: If you haven’t updated to the latest version of our desktop apps, do so now. Download the Priority Matrix desktop app for Windows or macOS. These newer versions of the app force you to be online when making changes, drastically reducing the chances of data loss due to connectivity problems.

In order to restore deleted projects, follow these steps:

  1. Open the All Projects view in Priority Matrix
  2. Click the Filters button
  3. Inside the filters panel, locate the “Hamburger menu” and open it
  4. Select the “Restore Deleted Projects” option

Restoring Deleted Items in a Priority Matrix Project

This guide was specifically about restoring deleted projects. If instead you’re interested in restoring an individual item inside a project, see our guide on undeleting Priority Matrix items.

Checking if Your Project is Archived

In Priority Matrix it’s possible to archive a project instead of just deleting it. This is useful if you don’t need access to a project for the time being, but you might require it in the future.
