Forgetting your password happens to everyone at some point. Fortunately, resetting your Priority Matrix password is a straightforward process that only takes a few minutes to complete. This guide will walk you through each step to ensure you regain access to your account quickly and securely.
Password Reset Process
To reset your password for Priority Matrix, please follow these steps:
- Visit our password reset page.
- Enter the email address associated with your Priority Matrix account in the provided field.
- Click the “Reset Password” button to submit your request.
- Check your email inbox for a message from support@appfluence.com containing instructions to complete the password reset process. This email includes a secure link that will direct you to a page where you can create a new password.
- Click on the link in the email to access the password creation page. For your security, this reset link will expire after 30 minutes. If you don’t use the link within this timeframe, you’ll need to restart the reset process.
- On the password creation page, enter your new password twice to confirm it, then submit the form to update your credentials.
- Once your new password is confirmed, you’ll be able to log in to Priority Matrix with your updated credentials.
Ensuring You Receive Password Reset Emails
Sometimes password reset emails can be filtered into spam folders or blocked by email security systems. To prevent this from happening:
- Add support@appfluence.com to your email contacts or address book.
- Consider creating an email rule that always allows messages from @appfluence.com domains to reach your inbox.
- If you’re in a corporate environment with strict email filtering, speak with your IT department about whitelisting the appfluence.com domain to ensure you receive all communications from our system.
- Check your spam or junk folder if you don’t see the reset email in your inbox within a few minutes of making the request.
Enhanced Security Recommendations
While resetting your password provides immediate access to your account, we recommend implementing these security best practices for long-term account protection:
Consider Single Sign-On (SSO)
Priority Matrix supports Single Sign-On via Microsoft and Google accounts. Using SSO offers several advantages:
SSO eliminates the need to remember separate passwords for each service you use, reducing “password fatigue” and the tendency to reuse passwords across multiple platforms. It also provides enhanced security through the authentication systems of major providers, which typically include features like two-factor authentication and suspicious activity monitoring.
If your organization uses Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, we highly recommend configuring Priority Matrix to use SSO through these providers.
Use a Password Manager
If SSO isn’t an option for you, consider using a password manager to generate and store complex, unique passwords for all your accounts. Password managers can:
Create strong, random passwords that are difficult to guess or crack through brute force methods. Securely store all your passwords in an encrypted format, requiring you to remember only one master password. Automatically fill in your credentials on websites and applications, making the login process simple despite using complex passwords.
Create Strong Passwords
If you choose to manage your own passwords, follow these guidelines for creating strong credentials:
Use at least 12 characters—the longer, the better. Include a mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters. Avoid using easily guessable information such as birthdays, names, or common words. Don’t reuse passwords across multiple accounts or services.
