Progress
The Progress Meter is a great way to display the completion status of an item. You can use it in the following circumstances:
- You’ve made progress on an item and you want to track it to stay organized
- You’ve made progress on an item and you want your team to know
- You’re ready to complete an item – mark the progress at 100% and it will be marked as complete
- A previously completed item needs more work – mark the progress to a lesser percentage
Keep in mind that Priority Matrix records the history of all changes to your items, so marking the progress is a good record keeping practice.
Effort
The Effort Meter is a way for you and your team to estimate how much time it will take to complete a certain task. This comes in handy when:
- You want to learn if your estimates are accurate – for example, you think a task will take you less than an hour. Record that and see if you were right
- You want to track how many hours are assigned to each of your team members – track effort and then access the Effort Reports (Business Class and above)
- You want to track how much time you invest in your work
Updating the Progress and Effort
There are two ways to update progress and effort:
- From the Item Details Panel
- Using Conversation Commands
