Are you wondering how to export data from Trello? Unfortunately, Trello does not give you the capability to export your Trello boards into an Excel sheet unless you are in their Business Class; however, Trello will allow you to export your data from Trello into a JSON format.
In this article, we will explain how to export data from Trello into a JSON format in three quick, easy steps.
How To Export Data From Trello
Step 1
Head to the Board Menu to the right of your screen in Trello, and click on More.
Step 2
Click on Print and Export
Step 3
From there, you can either click Print to print it, or click Export JSON to export the board data in a JSON format.
Are you exporting your data from Trello because you do not find that the platform is useful for you and/or your team (if you are using it for business)?
Many Trello users complain that they have stopped using Trello because:
- there is limited visibility.
- it is difficult to stay organized as you might have so many cards to the point it is messy, you are unable to search across boards, you are not able to add tags to your items, and users are unable to personally view their tasks to ensure maximum productivity.
- there are too many distracting “fun” features, and not enough professional features like reports or data, thus it is not always suitable for a business environment.
Luckily, the priority management software Priority Matrix offers all of these features that Trello lacks and more!
Priority Matrix users report increased visibility, organization, and productivity using the search function to search across all tasks, adding tags to items and projects to easily locate them, advanced report features, and much more.
